Blend is expanding our Performance Creative team and seeking a talented and forward-thinking Digital Art Director with a strong foundation in graphic design. As a key player, you will collaborate with Creative Leads to shape and execute concepts, delegating tasks to a team of editors and motion/graphic designers. You'll also play a vital role in client interactions and pitches, using insights and creativity to bring ideas to life. What You’ll Do
Lead Creative Vision: Drive strategic initiatives and inspire a team of designers to deliver performance-focused, visually compelling work.
Optimize Processes: Design and implement workflows and cross-functional projects to streamline creative production across the team.
Client Engagement: Represent the creative team on client calls, pitch innovative ideas, and attend virtual or in-person meetings as needed.
Creative Development: Craft concepts and visual strategies for performance-driven digital campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, and more.
Team Support: Offer visual direction, including storyboarding, concept mockups, mood boards, and brand guidelines, ensuring creative assets are aligned with brand and performance goals.
Collaborate Across Channels: Work closely with Performance Creative Leads to ensure channel-specific playbooks and methods are integrated into ad campaigns.
Project Oversight: Manage creative briefs, timelines, and deliverables while overseeing the production of high-quality visual assets.
Creative Innovation: Champion the evolution of client creative strategies by leading brainstorming sessions and turning initial ideas into groundbreaking executions.
Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitive research to keep client strategies ahead of the curve.
Foster Efficiency: Develop templates and reusable assets to maximize efficiency for designers and editors.
Leverage AI Tools: Explore and apply emerging AI design tools to enhance production efficiency without compromising quality.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 5+ years in a digital advertising agency or in-house marketing team, ideally with a focus on performance marketing.
Portfolio: A stellar digital portfolio showcasing innovative concepts and performance-driven creative solutions.
Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience designing ads for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other paid media channels.
Design Skills: Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong grasp of typography, layout, prototyping, and user-centric design principles.
Motion Graphics Knowledge: Experience conceptualizing and storyboarding for motion graphics, with the ability to guide design teams effectively.
Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead a team of creative professionals, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Strategic Thinking: Strong understanding of performance marketing objectives and a modular approach to creative development.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and feedback clearly to teams and clients.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
