JOB DESCRIPTION
Blend is seeking a Reporting Solutions Manager with advanced spreadsheet expertise to revolutionize our client reporting and insights. In this role, you will design and enhance data visualizations that answer key business questions, ensuring our reporting capabilities meet the evolving needs of our clients. Working closely with the product development team, you will also contribute to the ongoing evolution of Blend’s proprietary reporting platform, Insights Explorer, by defining key requirements and collaborating with engineers. What You’ll Do
Create and Enhance Reporting Solutions: Develop custom reporting and insights tools with a strong emphasis on advanced Google Sheets features, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation techniques.
Design and Maintain Dashboards: Collaborate with teams to design data pipelines and create scalable, user-friendly dashboards within our proprietary platform, Polaris.
Data Validation and Integration: Partner with data engineers to validate and integrate data from multiple sources, delivering cohesive and actionable insights.
Drive Innovation: Gather feedback from users to improve dashboard functionality and user experience, while documenting recommendations for future enhancements.
Support Product Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to define data requirements and influence the development of new features and platform updates.
Optimize Processes: Identify areas for improvement in reporting workflows and build process documentation to ensure scalability and efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
Spreadsheet Expertise: Mastery of Google Sheets (or Excel), including advanced formulas, scripting, and data manipulation.
Data Visualization Skills: Experience in delivering data visualizations tailored to client needs, preferably within a marketing or advertising agency environment.
Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with integrating data pipelines from multiple sources for streamlined reporting solutions.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects with precision and accuracy.
Learning Mindset: A proactive approach to learning new tools and techniques to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
Analytical & Creative Thinking: A unique ability to combine analytical rigor with creative problem-solving for impactful reporting.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey insights and collaborate with stakeholders.
Bonus Points
Experience working with data from advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Microsoft Ads) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
Hands-on experience with data integration platforms (e.g., Funnel, Domo) or data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery).
Knowledge of project management tools like Asana or similar platforms.
